The Kano State Government has reiterated its strong emphasis on providing scholarships as a key component of its developmental blueprint.

The commitment was reaffirmed by the Commissioner of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children, and Persons with Disabilities, Hajiya Aishatu Lawal Saji, during a prestigious award ceremony where scholarships were granted to students from Wudil Local Government studying at various Nursing and Midwifery Schools.

The scholarships were generously sponsored by the Interim Chairperson, Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo.

Commending the visionary efforts of the Interim Chairperson, the Commissioner praised her for aligning with the government’s initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational sector.

She urged other Interim Management Officers across all local government areas to follow the inspiring example set by Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo.

Speaking at the event, Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo, the Interim Chairperson of Wudil Local Government Area, revealed that a total of thirty female science students from the local government would benefit from the scholarships to study at Nursing and Midwifery Schools in Kano, including Madobi, Danbatta, and Gezawa.

Moreover, Hajiya Bilkisu highlighted that the scholarships were awarded purely on merit, with beneficiaries selected from various wards. She further pledged that upon completion of their studies, the recipients would be deployed to serve their respective communities.

Hailing the unwavering support from Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Hajiya Bilkisu expressed gratitude for their encouragement in advancing educational opportunities.

She emphasized the collective responsibility shared by all stakeholders in propelling the education sector forward.

Acknowledging the solidarity within the New Nigeria People Party, the Interim Chairperson extended her appreciation to the National Leader, Senator Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, for his inclusive leadership that unites all party members.

The event, graced by the State Chairman of the New Nigeria People Party, Comrade Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children, and Persons with Disabilities, Hajiya Aishatu Lawal Saji, and other party loyalists.

As she featured the presentation of certificates to individuals recognized for their significant contributions to the development of the Party, as well as receiving the Convertees from All Progressive Congrace to New Nigeria People Party respectively.
