In a landmark move, the Katsina State Executive Council has given the green light for the renovation of Government Technical College in Funtua, a major step toward its conversion into the Federal University of Health Sciences.
Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajia Zainab Musa Musawa, shared the Council’s plans in a recent press briefing, underscoring the state’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and advancing health science studies.
In addition, the Council announced a robust new strategy to bolster security in basic and secondary schools across Katsina.
The initiative will focus on a community-based approach, aiming to ensure a safer environment for students and educators alike. This dual-pronged effort highlights Katsina’s dedication to both academic excellence and security in education.
