Katsina State Approves ₦365 Million for Water Treatment Chemicals to Ensure Safe Water Supply

The Katsina State Executive Council has greenlit over ₦365 million for the procurement of water treatment chemicals, ensuring the provision of clean and safe water across the state’s treatment plants.

Dr. Bashir Gambo Saulawa, Commissioner of the Ministry of Water Resources, disclosed this during a briefing with journalists following the council meeting.

He emphasized that the initiative is part of the government’s commitment to maintaining hygienic water standards for residents.

Additionally, the council extended its congratulations to Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanci, the former Commissioner for Local Government, on his recent appointment as Chief Executive of the National Social Investment Program Agency.

The council also offered condolences to the Commissioner of Environment, Hamza Sule Faskari, mourning the recent passing of his mother.
