Katsina SEMA Boss Condoles Family of Five Burnt to Death in Kofar Sauri Fire Incident

The Chairperson of the Katsina State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Binta Hussaini Dangani, has visited the family of a couple and their three children who lost their lives in a tragic fire incident at Kofar Sauri area of Katsina metropolis.

The heartbreaking incident occurred around 1:00 am on Sunday, 30th November 2025, when fire engulfed the family’s home, killing all five occupants before neighbours could rescue them.

On Monday morning, 1st December 2025, Hajiya Binta Dangani led a SEMA delegation to the residence of the bereaved family to offer condolences and sympathise with relatives over the devastating loss.

Speaking during the visit, the SEMA Chairperson conveyed the condolences of the Katsina State Government and the agency, describing the tragedy as deeply painful and shocking. She prayed for God to grant the grieving family the strength and patience to bear the loss.

Dangani assured the relatives that the administration of Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda will provide support and other forms of assistance to help cushion the impact of the incident, noting that the government stands firmly with families facing emergencies of this nature.

She concluded with prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased and all Muslims who have passed away, in line with Islamic teachings.

Authorities say investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
