Katsina Rolls Out Red Carpet for First-Ever #InvestKatsina Summit

Borno State Government

Radda Leads Bold Push to Rebuild Economy, Attract Global Investors

Katsina State is set to take centre stage on the economic map as the government unveils the maiden edition of #InvestKatsina 1.0, a high-profile investment summit scheduled for November 24–25, 2025 at the Continental Event and Sports Complex, Katsina.

Organised in partnership with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), the summit carries the ambitious theme: “Building the Future of Katsina’s Economy.”

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda will formally declare the summit open, marking what many observers already describe as a historic turning point for the state’s economic direction.

A Bold Reset for Katsina’s Economy

Director General of the Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency (KIPA), Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, said the summit is a “decisive step toward repositioning Katsina as a globally competitive, private sector–driven economy capable of creating jobs, reducing poverty, and unlocking opportunities for millions.”

According to him, the Radda administration is determined to rebuild an economy weakened by insecurity, low productivity, and years of underinvestment.

“Our vision is clear,” he declared. “To transform Katsina into an agricultural haven and an investment-friendly state powered by innovation, industry, and modern governance.”

Showcasing Katsina’s Strengths to the World

The summit will spotlight Katsina’s diverse economic potential—agriculture, MSMEs, ICT, mining, manufacturing, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development—aimed at attracting both local and international investors.

Jikamshi noted that Katsina must strengthen investment partnerships to overturn economic setbacks captured in reports like the BudgiT State of States, which ranked the state as the 19th largest economy in 2022.

Building Confidence, Attracting Investment

Organisers say the summit will serve as a platform for governments, the private sector, development agencies, and business leaders to forge new alliances, share ideas, and explore opportunities for sustainable economic transformation.

It will also boost the ease of doing business across all 34 LGAs, streamline processes, connect MSMEs to wider markets, and stimulate job creation across key sectors.

Jikamshi added that a new investment framework will be unveiled, offering investors clear and actionable insights into Katsina’s business environment.
“This Summit is not just an event; it is a commitment to building a stronger, modern Katsina,” he said.

With full logistical preparations completed and global partners on board, all eyes are now on Katsina as Governor Radda, senior officials, development partners, and top industry players converge for what is expected to be the state’s biggest push yet to shape its economic future.

Katsina is open for business—boldly, confidently, and with purpose.
