— Radda Hails Global Collaboration to Uplift Vulnerable Citizens

The Katsina State Government has entered into a landmark humanitarian partnership with Qatar Charity Nigeria to bolster development efforts in key sectors, including health, education, empowerment, and social welfare.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed at the Government House in Katsina, aims to expand humanitarian assistance and community development, particularly benefiting women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda described the agreement as a continuation of fruitful collaboration with Qatar Charity, emphasizing that the partnership reinforces his administration’s “Building Your Future” vision for human capital development and inclusive growth.
He commended Qatar Charity for its sustained humanitarian interventions and pledged full government support to ensure the long-term impact of the projects.
Country Director of Qatar Charity, Mr. Assem Abu Al Shaer, applauded Governor Radda’s transparent and accountable leadership, which he said has made Katsina a model destination for global development partners.
He revealed that Qatar Charity would immediately donate medical equipment—including blood pressure monitors for all renovated Primary Health Centres and electric wheelchairs for 15 major hospitals across the state.
The initiative, coordinated by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Girl Child Education, Hajiya Jamila Abdu Mani, will also deliver new schools, scholarships, vocational training, and upgraded healthcare facilities aimed at empowering women and youth.
Hajiya Jamila noted that the collaboration would open fresh opportunities for girls and women, fostering self-reliance and improved access to education and healthcare.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by top government officials, including the Chief of Staff, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Fadila Mohammed Dikko; Special Secretary, Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; and Hajiya Jamila Abdu Mani.
Governor Radda concluded that the partnership represents “a new chapter of hope” for the people of Katsina, signaling the state’s growing recognition as a hub for global humanitarian engagement.
