Katsina Police Strikes Hard: 30 Kidnapped Victims Rescued, Bandits’ Hideout Raided

In a bold crackdown on criminal activities, the Katsina State Police Command executed a high-stakes raid on a notorious bandits’ hideout, rescuing 30 kidnapped victims in a series of operations across Dutsinma, Safana, Jibia, and Malumfashi LGAs.

On August 21st, 2024, police operatives led by CSP Bello Abdullahi Gusau stormed a bandit camp between Dutsinma and Safana, securing the release of seven hostages and recovering an AK-47 rifle.

In simultaneous operations, police teams foiled multiple attacks in Jibia LGA, rescuing three victims and engaging the bandits in a fierce gunfight.

Another rescue mission in Malumfashi LGA saw 20 kidnapped individuals freed, and rustled livestock recovered.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the operatives’ bravery and reaffirmed the Command’s resolve to keep Katsina safe.
