The Katsina State Police Command has recorded major successes in its fight against crime, arresting 144 suspects linked to 128 serious offenses, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and culpable homicide, during February 2025.
Addressing the press, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, highlighted the command’s efforts in neutralizing four armed bandits, rescuing 105 kidnapped victims, and recovering 13 rustled animals.
Among those arrested were 16 homicide suspects, seven armed robbery suspects, one bandit informant, 49 rape suspects, and 47 others involved in various crimes. Security forces also confiscated four locally made guns, 13 pump-action cartridges, and five motorcycles used for criminal activities.
The Katsina Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to securing lives and property while appreciating the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Katsina State Government under Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, and the media for their continued support.
CP Musa assured residents that the command would sustain the momentum in its crime-fighting efforts, urging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.
