On February 25th, 2024, the Katsina state police command, in collaboration with the military, foiled a bandit attack and rescued ten kidnapped victims along Kukar Babangida to Yan Gayya feeder road in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina state.
The joint patrol team, while on routine patrol along Kukar Babangida to Yan Gayya feeder road, came under serious fire by some suspected armed bandits in their numbers, armed with dangerous weapons such as AK-47 rifles.
Promptly, the operationally competent patrol team returned fire and succeeded in foiling the attack and rescuing ten 10 kidnapped victims.
The Commissioner of Police Katsina State Command, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, while commending the officers’ exceptional display of gallantry, urged the good people of the state to continue to support the command, as well as other security agencies in the state, with timely information.
He said this will enable swift and decisive action against all forms of crime and criminality in the state.
He further reemphasized the command’s commitment to ensuring a safer Katsina state.
