In a major breakthrough against banditry, the Katsina State Police Command has recovered 67 rustled livestock during a daring operation in Danmusa Local Government Area.
The recovery took place around 10:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025, when police operatives intercepted suspected bandits transporting stolen sheep and rams along the Danmusa–Maidabino forest route.
Sources said the officers engaged the criminals in a heated confrontation, successfully overpowering them and reclaiming the animals. However, the bandits managed to escape into the nearby forest.
The Katsina State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the fleeing suspects, vowing to bring them to justice and maintain the momentum in the fight against rural banditry.
