Katsina Police Enforce Movement Restriction Ahead of Local Government Elections

The Katsina State Police Command has announced a total restriction of movement across the state from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming local government elections.

In a statement issued on February 13, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, CP Allyu Abubakar Musa, psc+, emphasized that the restriction is aimed at ensuring law and order, as well as guaranteeing the safety of voters and election officials.

Residents have been urged to comply with the directive to facilitate a peaceful and transparent electoral process. Security agencies have been fully mobilized to enforce the movement ban and prevent any disruption of the polls.

The Command further encouraged eligible voters to turn out in large numbers and exercise their civic responsibility in an orderly manner.
