In a move to strengthen discipline and integrity across its ranks, the Katsina State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police CP Bello Shehu, today convened a one-day intensive workshop for Provost Marshalls across the state.
The workshop, held in line with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun’s vision of reform and professionalism, focused on enhancing disciplinary knowledge, strengthening internal mechanisms, and reinforcing ethical standards within the Force.
CP Bello Shehu, in his opening address, praised the Provost Marshalls for their crucial role in maintaining order and discipline, urging them to apply the insights gained to improve operational conduct and accountability within the Command.
“This is not just a training session—it’s a reaffirmation of our dedication to upholding the core values of the Nigeria Police Force,” the CP said. “Provost Marshalls are the backbone of internal discipline, and we expect this workshop to elevate your impact.”
Participants benefited from interactive sessions, expert-led discussions, and presentations by seasoned professionals from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Medical Department, the Command’s own Provost Marshal Office, and senior officers renowned for their expertise in investigations and disciplinary protocols.
According to ASP Shehu Suleiman, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, the workshop is part of the Command’s broader strategy to promote a culture of transparency, professionalism, and zero tolerance for misconduct.
The Katsina State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to raising the bar of excellence within the Force—one disciplined officer at a time.
