In a bid to strengthen the digital capabilities of its personnel, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command, in collaboration with the Computer Business Operators Society of Nigeria (COMBOS), launched a two-day Digital Literacy and Cybersecurity Awareness Training.
The event, held at the Command Headquarters, drew personnel from various departments and divisions across the state.
State Commandant Indabawa, represented by DCC Ibrahim Babanuman Bako, emphasized the importance of digital literacy and cybersecurity knowledge to tackle growing cyber threats.
Engineer Usman M. Abbas, President of COMBOS Katsina Chapter, underscored the collaborative efforts in promoting cybersecurity and highlighted the course’s focus on topics such as data privacy, internet safety, blockchain technology, and digital marketing.
This partnership aims to empower NSCDC personnel with essential skills to navigate the digital world and safeguard cyberspace.
