The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,550 personnel to ensure peace and security during the festive season. This was announced by the State Commandant, Corps Commandant Jamilu A. Indabawa, during an operational briefing at the Command Headquarters.
The deployment covers pre-Christmas, Christmas Day, New Year celebrations, and beyond. Commandant Indabawa outlined measures including intensive surveillance, intelligence gathering, and community engagement, urging officers to prioritize professionalism and collaboration with other security agencies.
Key locations such as churches, recreational centers, motor parks, markets, and critical government facilities will receive heightened security. Undercover operatives will also be strategically positioned to monitor and counter any criminal activities.
The Commandant encouraged public vigilance and timely reporting of suspicious activities while extending warm Christmas greetings to Christians in Katsina State.
