Katsina NSCDC, Customs Renew Synergy to Safeguard National Assets, Strengthen Border Security

The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reaffirmed its partnership with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to bolster security operations and protect critical national assets across the state.

This renewed commitment was made on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, when the State Commandant of NSCDC, CC AD Moriki, Acti. Anim, paid a courtesy visit to the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris, at the Customs House, Katsina.

During the meeting, Commandant Moriki stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration in achieving national security goals, noting that the Commandant General of NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, remains steadfast in promoting synergy among security agencies for effective service delivery.

He assured the NCS of NSCDC’s readiness to work closely in combating transborder crimes, ensuring public safety, and protecting vital infrastructure within Katsina State.

In his response, Comptroller Idris commended the NSCDC for its proactive efforts and pledged the Customs Service’s full cooperation to strengthen intelligence sharing and joint operations aimed at securing Nigeria’s borders.

The visit, according to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Hamisu, marked a significant step toward enhancing operational coordination between the two agencies for improved security outcomes in the state.
