The Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Commandant Aminu Datti Ahmad, was on Thursday, May 15, 2025, honoured with an Award of Excellence by Hon. Umar Jibril Bindawa, Special Assistant to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on Special Needs.
The award, presented at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Katsina, recognizes Commandant Ahmad’s outstanding leadership, commitment to security, and inclusive approach to safety administration in the state.
“We have been closely monitoring the strategic leadership style of Commandant Ahmad. His impact on safety and inclusion in Katsina is highly commendable,” Hon. Bindawa remarked during the presentation.
Responding, Commandant Ahmad attributed the Corps’ progress to the visionary leadership of Commandant General A.A. Audi, and praised Governor Radda for his continued support to the Corps.
In a related development, the Commandant also received Alh. Muntari Lawal Tsagem, Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), on a courtesy visit. Tsagem presented the National Flag and Anthem to the Command, symbolizing unity and national pride.
Ahmad reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with NOA to enhance national values and professional standards within the service.
The event featured the award presentation, courtesy visit, and official photographs to mark the twin milestones.
