Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has restated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, affirming that all Local Government Areas in Katsina State continue to receive monthly allocations to support community projects and strengthen governance.

The governor made the disclosure on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Bindawa Local Government Secretariat, where he launched an empowerment programme introduced by council chairman, Hon. Badaru Musa Giremawa.

The initiative reached 600 residents of Bindawa with cash support and vocational tools designed to enhance livelihoods and boost small-scale businesses. Distributed items included 100 grinding machines, 100 oil-extracting machines, 300 butcher kits, 100 sewing machines, and 22 motorcycles provided to councillors to aid mobility and self-reliance.

Governor Radda applauded the council chairman for his dedication to improving lives, stressing that monthly allocations to LGs are meant to deliver similar impactful projects across the state.

In his remarks, Hon. Giremawa said the scheme was tailored to empower vulnerable residents and equip them with the means to achieve self-sufficiency. He urged beneficiaries to use the resources responsibly.

Also speaking, APC Deputy Chairman in Katsina, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, hailed the initiative as a bold stride in reducing poverty and creating jobs for women and youths. He further emphasized the importance of unity within the party to sustain progress and good governance.
