The Chairman of Katsina Local Government Area, Hon. Isah Miqdad, and the Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abbas Dan Ile Moriki, have sealed a stronger partnership aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the council area.
The renewed security alliance was unveiled when Commandant Moriki paid a familiarisation visit to the Katsina Local Government Secretariat Complex, where both leaders held closed-door talks on rising security concerns and the urgent need for coordinated action at the community level.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Miqdad reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies, stressing that peace and stability remain the bedrock of development. He pledged continuous cooperation, logistics support, and grassroots engagement to enable security operatives perform their duties effectively.
Commandant Moriki, in his remarks, assured the council of the NSCDC’s full readiness to deepen collaboration through intelligence sharing, closer community ties, and rapid response to security threats, describing local government partnership as a critical pillar in winning the fight against crime.
