Katsina — Chairman of Katsina Local Government Area, Hon. Isah Miqiddad, has embarked on the construction of a new Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) office in Dutsin Amare, Gabas II — a project he is personally financing as Sadaqatul Jariyah in honour of his late father, Hon. Mikdad Ad-Saude.
Announcing the development on his X account, Miqiddad described the initiative as one of the most heartfelt moments of his life, emphasising that no government funds were used. He said his late father’s life, defined by service, integrity, and devotion to the people, inspired him to give back to the community.
“My father taught me that true leadership is measured not by what one takes, but by what one gives. This project is a humble legacy that will serve and protect our people for generations,” he stated.
The LG boss expressed hope that the facility will enhance security in Dutsin Amare and neighbouring Gabas II communities, urging youths to embrace discipline, respect, and cooperation with security agencies to sustain peace and development.
“May Allah bless Katsina, our beloved state, and our great nation, Nigeria,” he prayed.
