The Katsina government says it has engaged the services of a private firm, NSIA Insurance, to collect insurance premium fees in the state.

Mohammed Isyaku, Chairman, Katsina State Inland Revenue Services (KT-IRS), said this on Monday in Katsina at a capacity building workshop for officials of the firm and Area Motor Licensing Officers.

Isiyaku underscored the importance of vehicle insurance on a third party basis to cover the vehicles in the case of accident.

He commended Gov. Dikko Radda for collaborating with the firm to train its personnel to ease registeration of motorists on the insurance policy.

The chairman urged vehicle owners to avail themselves the opportunities and enrol into the insurance policy.

Mr Muritala Ahmed, a representative of the company, described third-party insurance as a seamless policy with multiple values and benefits.

“The policy is a money back guarantee, as it covers all forms of accidents on a third-party basis,” he said, adding that the company was providing technically driven services for quality insurance cover.
