Katsina Football Academy (KFA) has congratulated five of its outstanding players following their promotion to Katsina United Football Club ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Academy’s Director, Shamsuddeen Ibrahim, in a statement on Thursday, hailed the players for their hard work and dedication, describing their elevation as a major milestone in their football journey.
The five players — Usman Abdullahi, Ahmad Nasir, Umar Yusuf, Abubakar Hassan, and Kabir Muhammed Kabir — were officially unveiled by Katsina United as part of the squad set to kick off the NPFL season on Friday, August 22, 2025.
While charging them to remain disciplined and committed, Ibrahim urged the young stars to be worthy ambassadors of the Academy and Katsina State.
He further encouraged them to redouble their efforts as they prepare to compete in Nigeria’s top-flight league, expressing confidence that they will make both the Academy and the state proud.
