Katsina State, under the leadership of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD CON, has taken a significant step towards digital innovation with the official commissioning of the Katsina State Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (KATDICT) office building at the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management.

The Katsina Broadband Masterplan aims for 100% broadband penetration, fostering economic growth and improved communication across the state.
Fostering Data-Driven Governance: The Katsina Data Revolution Masterplan prioritizes data collection and analysis for informed decision-making at all government levels.
Improving Public Service Delivery: The GovDev Masterplan focuses on modernizing government processes with advanced technology, enhancing efficiency and accessibility for citizens.Guided by the KATDICT Strategic Blueprint, these initiatives outline Governor Radda’s digital transformation strategy for 2023-2027, charting a clear path for the state’s digital future.
Governor Radda commended Naufal Ahmad, the Director-General of KATDICT, for his role in driving the project to completion, emphasizing the value of young leadership in government.
“The past 10 months have demonstrated the innovation and dynamic skills young people bring to their roles,” he stated.
Highlighting the success of the FAGO PAY initiative, Governor Radda noted that since its launch in October 2023, it has facilitated over one billion naira in transactions.
This success underscores the potential of e-governance to deliver tangible benefits to the people of Katsina.
Governor Radda pledged continued support for the Katsina ICT Directorate and encouraged collaboration with the Katsina State Development Agency (KASEDA) to simplify account opening procedures for aspiring entrepreneurs.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to ICT and digital transformation, stating, “Digital technologies are essential in today’s world.
We are dedicated to integrating these technologies into every aspect of our operations to deliver efficient and effective services to the people of Katsina.
“Director General Naufal Ahmad spoke on the ongoing efforts to equip civil servants with digital skills and assured the public of full internet connectivity across the state by the end of 2027.
He also detailed the 12 policies and guidelines established to ensure ICT advancements benefit all citizens of Katsina.
