Katsina Continues Interview for Recruitment of Health Workers in Malumfashi Centre

The Katsina State Committee on the Recruitment of Health Workers for the 34 Local Government Areas on Friday, 21 November 2025, continued its interview exercise for candidates who passed the earlier online examination.

Malumfashi serves as the second of seven designated centres scheduled to conduct the interviews between Friday and Saturday, 22 November 2025.

Candidates currently being attended to include those with qualifications in Basic Midwifery, Community Midwifery, Community Health Extension (CHEW), and Junior Community Health Extension (JCHEW).

The exercise is taking place at the Conference Hall of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Malumfashi, under the leadership of the Committee Chairman, Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana, alongside other committee members.

Hon. Safana, who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Affairs, expressed satisfaction with the orderly and professional conduct of the process, noting the commitment of the committee to ensuring a transparent recruitment exercise.

The Chairman of the National Union of Health Workers (NUHW), Katsina State chapter, Comrade Bashir Ibrahim, commended Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, for strengthening the state’s healthcare system through the establishment of additional healthcare facilities across the state.

Other officials overseeing the exercise include the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs (MLGCA), Alhaji Mas’udu Banye; the Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency; the Chief Auditor of Local Governments; the Executive Secretary of the Local Government Service Training Institute; and the Director of Administration of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
