Katsina-based foundation supports 60 youths to memorise Qur’an

A Katsina-based NGO, Lamido Foundation, has sponsored training of 60 youths on memorisation of the Holy Quran in Katsina.

The Chief Executive Officer, Darul Quran Was Sunnah center, Katsina, Malam Ashiru Bala-Yandaki, disclosed this on Wednesday in Katsina.

Bala-Yandaki said that the trainees were camped at the center, fed and well taken care of by the foundation for three weeks.

He said that at the end of the programme, the participants were able to memorize various chapters of the Quran.

Bala-Yandaki expressed gratitude to the foundation, that was formed by Alhaji Jabiru Abdullahi-Tsauri the Chief of Staff to Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State.

In his remarks, the chairman of the foundation, Jabiru-Tsauri, said that was part of his contribution towards the development of Quranic education.

Represented by the Sa’in Kaita, Dr. Ibrahim Sani, urged the students to continue to pray to Allah to bring an end to the insecurity, hardship and other challenges facing the state and the country in general.

After the camping, Quran recitation competition was conducted and prizes were presented to the winners.
