Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, says the state has secured investment commitments worth over ₦500 billion following notable improvements in security across the state.

The governor made this known during Katsina’s first-ever Economic and Investment Summit, where companies from across Nigeria expressed interest in partnering with the state to drive long-term economic growth. According to him, the return of stability in many communities has encouraged farmers to resume full-scale activities on their farmlands, significantly revitalising the agricultural sector and attracting new investors.

Governor Radda also highlighted Katsina’s leading position in the country in the use of renewable solar energy, describing it as one of the state’s major achievements in its journey toward clean and efficient energy solutions.

He added that Katsina remains one of the top-performing states in World Bank–supported programmes, especially those targeted at girls’ education, youth development and other critical initiatives designed to uplift vulnerable groups.

The governor expressed optimism that the momentum generated by the summit will open a new chapter in Katsina’s economic transformation, strengthen investor confidence and position the state as a model for development in Northern Nigeria.
