Katsina Assembly Applauds FRSC Commander Lede for Outstanding Road Safety Leadership

Borno State Government

The Katsina State House of Assembly has commended the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, for what it described as his exceptional leadership and dedication to protecting lives on the roads.

In a commendation letter dated March 4, 2026, and signed by the Clerk of the House, Kabir Yuguda, lawmakers praised the FRSC chief for his remarkable contributions toward strengthening road safety awareness and enforcement across Katsina State.

The Assembly said the recognition followed a resolution of honourable members who acknowledged Commander Lede’s commitment to promoting safer highways and mobilizing community participation in the campaign against road accidents.

According to the lawmakers, the FRSC boss has demonstrated an “exceptional track record and selfless humanitarian service,” particularly through initiatives aimed at fostering cooperation between motorists, institutions and road safety authorities.

They noted that under his leadership, the Katsina Sector Command has created platforms that bring together stakeholders and members of the public to promote responsible driving and adherence to traffic regulations.

The Assembly also commended the command for intensifying public enlightenment campaigns, strengthening enforcement operations and improving collaboration with other agencies to curb road crashes and traffic violations.

Lawmakers said the efforts of the Corps under Commander Lede have contributed significantly to the protection of lives and property across the state’s highways, aligning with government’s broader responsibility to safeguard citizens.

While conveying the highest regards of the Assembly to the FRSC commander, the Clerk encouraged him to sustain the momentum in delivering effective road safety administration.

Observers say the commendation reflects growing recognition of the role of the Federal Road Safety Corps in improving traffic discipline and reducing accidents across Nigeria, particularly in northern states where public sensitisation and enforcement remain crucial.

The honour, analysts say, serves as both a validation of Commander Lede’s leadership and a motivation for continued efforts toward building safer roads for residents and travellers across Katsina. 🚦🛣️
