Katsina: APC calls for reinforcement of security operatives in Safana LG

Stakeholders of The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Safana Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, have called for reinforcement of security operatives in the area.

This is contained in a communique issued at the end of a meeting,held in Katsina on Monday and Chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the state Assembly, Alhaji Abduljalal Runka.

The communique was signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the forum, Alhaji Yunusa Abubakar.

According to Abubakar, the stakeholders also commended Gov. Dikko Radda for the security measures put in place in the area.

They also appreciated the residents of Safana LG toward quick response in tackling banditry and other criminal activities in the area.

The stakeholders’ forum however called for more concerted efforts in securing the lives and property of the people in their area and the state in general.

This they said could be achieved through reinforcement of security personnel and working materials for a better fight against banditry and other forms of criminality,”

The stakeholders also lauded the state government for providing free medicare, cash assistance and food items to the victims of banditry.

Other stakeholders in attendance include, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Gov. Radda on victims of banditry and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), Alhaji. Shafi’u Rabiu, SSA women activities, Hajiya Nasara Ibrahim and APC elders among others.

During the meeting, prayers were offered for the government to succeed in its effort toward tackling insecurity in the state.
