The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Hamza Lawan Ibrahim, a Hajj Center Officer from Gwarzo Local Government, and Malam Balarabe Na’ibi, a Hajj Induction Course Teacher.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u made the statement today during a condolence visit to the families of the deceased in Makwalla and Katambawa, both in Gwarzo, Gwale Local Government Area.
Alhaji Hamza Lawan Ibrahim, aged 57, is survived by thirteen children and three wives, while Malam Balarabe Na’ibi, aged 80, is survived by Twenty four children and three wife.
The Director General described the deaths of Alhaji Hamza Lawan Ibrahim and Malam Balarabe Na’ibi as an irreparable loss to the entire Muslim Ummah.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u prayed to Almighty Allah to grant them eternal rest in Aljanna Firdaus.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, stated that they were at Gwarzo on behalf of the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif, to offer condolences to the families.
He added that both individuals were valuable colleagues, and the Board had greatly benefited from their contributions over the years.
Alhaji Yusif Lawan also remarked that “God needs them more than we do” and called on their families to remain united in all their endeavors. He assured them that God would continue to bless them in life.
On behalf of the Executive Governor, the Director General donated two bags of rice, fifty liters of groundnut oil, one carton of spaghetti, one carton of macaroni, and one hundred thousand naira to each family for their daily needs.
During the visit he was accompanied by some Board members, management staff, and several Local Government Center Officers.
