Kano Government Orders Emir Aminu Bayero’s Removal from Palace

In a dramatic move, the Kano State Government has ordered the immediate removal of Emir Aminu Bayero from his residence in Nasarawa GRA Mini Palace.

Attorney General Haruna Dederi announced that the state has plans for a complete renovation of the property, including demolishing and rebuilding the dilapidated wall fence.

This decision comes shortly after a Federal High Court ruling validated the Kano Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024 and nullified all actions taken by Governor Abba Yusuf following the law’s passage.

“The government has directed the State Commissioner of Police to remove the deposed emir from the government property where he is trespassing,” Dederi stated.

He urged the people of Kano to remain peaceful and celebrate the court’s decision without incident.
