The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has set the final cost of participating in the 2026 Hajj at ₦8,244,813.67, providing clarity for thousands of intending pilgrims in the state.
According to the Executive Secretary, pilgrims who had earlier paid ₦8.5 million will receive a refund of ₦255,186.33 upon submitting a formal refund request. He emphasized that the measure was introduced to maintain transparency and fairness throughout the process.
The Board also reminded fresh and late applicants to settle the full fare of ₦8,244,813.67 on or before December 31, 2025, in line with the directive issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Reports indicate that the review reflects prevailing economic realities while enabling Kano pilgrims to make adequate preparations for the upcoming 2026 Hajj.
