The grand wedding of the daughters of His Royal Highness, Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Mohammed, captivated the entire state as it brought together a host of esteemed personalities from across the country.

The wedding fatihah Which held at the Mohammed Central Mosque at the Emirs Palace inside Kaltungo Local Government Headquarters was attended by the Gombe State Deputy Governor Manassah Daniel Jatau Ph.D representing the Governor, Borno state deputy governor, Alh. Usman Umar Kadafur Minister of Transport, Alh.Saidu Umar Alkali,Emirs, Chiefs, politicians, businessmen, and other prominent figures, marking it as one of the most significant social events in recent history.

The event featured the union of two princesses: Princess Ummulkhairi, who married Aminu Lawan, and Princess Sa’adatu, who hooked Abdulrazak. The weddings followed the rich traditions of Islam, with the formalities and rites meticulously observed.

Alh. Adamu Ahmed Abdulkadir stood as the Walih (guardian) for both the princesses, overseeing the formalities of the marriage.

The Wakil (representative) for the groom of Princess Ummulkhairi, Aminu Lawan, was Shehu Lawan Othman, while the Wakil for Abdulrazak, who married Princess Saadatu, was Alh. Danazumi Gombe.

The bride price for Princess Ummulkhairi was set at 200,000 Naira, while Princess Saadatu’s bride price was 500,000 Naira, reflecting the royal heritage and the importance of the occasion.

After the final pronouncement confirming the fulfillment of all marriage rites in accordance with Islamic injunctions, the marriages were consummated in a traditional and joyous manner.

In a goodwill message the Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Manassah Daniel Jatau, Ph.D, conveyed warm wishes to the newlyweds, offering prayers for their prosperous and harmonious marital journey.

He highlighted the significance of the event as a symbol of unity, peace, and the enduring strength of cultural ties within the region.

His message resonated deeply with the gathering, which included key political figures, royal dignitaries, and a host of well-wishers.
