A wave of solemn reflection has swept through Kaduna State as Governor Uba Sani led heartfelt tributes to the late Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai.
In an emotional condolence message issued on behalf of the government and people of the state, the governor described the late matriarch as a woman of “rare grace, moral clarity, and quiet strength,” whose life was marked by compassion, humility, and unwavering service to humanity.
Governor Uba Sani noted that Hajiya Umma was more than a mother—she was a pillar of wisdom and reconciliation in her community, known for fostering unity and extending kindness to the vulnerable.
He expressed deep solidarity with Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai and the entire family during this period of grief, praying that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, accepts her good deeds, and grants her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
The governor also prayed for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family, as condolences continue to pour in from across Kaduna State and beyond for the revered matriarch.
