Residents of Yandadi, a community in Kusada Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, erupted in celebration as they finally gained access to electricity after more than five decades of living without power.
For years, Yandadi endured the challenges of darkness, relying on lanterns, firewood, and generators for basic needs. However, the long wait ended with the community’s long-anticipated connection to the national grid, bringing hope for economic growth, improved education, and better healthcare services.
Excited residents described the development as a “dream come true,” expressing gratitude to the authorities and stakeholders who made it possible. Many believe this milestone will transform the community’s fortunes, attracting businesses and improving their standard of living.
With light now shining on Yandadi, the people look forward to a future filled with opportunities and progress.
