ISWAP Executes Village Head in Niger’s Diffa Region

The Islamic State in West Africa Province ISWAP has executed the village head of Malam Boulamari, a community located between Mainé Soroa and Chetimari in Niger’s Diffa region.

The extremist group released graphic images documenting the execution, a grim act reportedly carried out to intimidate local authorities and civilians suspected of collaborating with the government or security forces.

The Diffa region, situated near the Nigeria-Chad border, remains a hotspot for insurgent activities. ISWAP and Boko Haram continue to terrorize the area with frequent attacks on villages, security personnel, and humanitarian workers, further destabilizing the region.
