In a strong-worded opinion statement, Iran has voiced firm opposition to any form of foreign military intervention in Nigeria, emphasizing that the country’s future must be determined solely by its own people.
The statement reads: “In my view, any change in Nigeria must come from within — not through foreign intervention or war. No to Christians dying. No to foreign invasion. Stability must come through the Nigerian people. Respect sovereignty. Prevent bloodshed.”
The declaration underscores Iran’s call for restraint and peaceful resolution amid rising global concerns, urging the international community to uphold Nigeria’s sovereignty and avoid actions that could trigger instability or humanitarian crises.
