In a powerful appearance on News Central’s Breakfast Central program, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, delivered a striking message that’s now stirring national attention.
“Let me tell you one very important thing — insurgency will never be ended by kinetic measures alone,” Zulum declared during the exclusive segment titled “Borno in Focus: One-on-One with Governor Zulum.”
The governor, known for his fearless leadership at the frontlines of Nigeria’s decade-long battle with insurgency, stressed the need for a more holistic approach to ending violence in the North East. According to him, while military operations are critical, they are not enough on their own.
“There must be a balance — security action must go hand-in-hand with rebuilding communities, addressing poverty, resettling displaced persons, and offering hope to the youth,” Zulum explained.
