Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Day, urging citizens to unite in confronting insecurity and other national challenges.
In his Independence message, Governor Radda described the anniversary as a moment for reflection and renewed commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
He acknowledged the security challenges facing the nation but expressed confidence that they could be overcome through collective effort.
“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we must recognize that nation-building is a shared responsibility. Security is everybody’s business,” the Governor said.
Radda called on citizens to support security agencies with intelligence and vigilance, stressing that government alone cannot win the fight against insecurity.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing security and introducing reforms aimed at sustainable economic growth, while also praising the resilience of Nigerians as the nation’s greatest strength.
“Our unity and diversity remain our greatest asset. When we work together, no challenge is insurmountable,” he added.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property in Katsina State, and urged citizens to remain law-abiding and supportive of government initiatives.
He prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation as Nigerians mark the milestone celebration.
