IHRC- RFT COMMENDS GOVERNOR BALA MUHAMMAD OF BAUCHI STATE

Katsina state government

From Abdul Ardo

The Country Director of the International Human Rights Commission Nigeria Chapter Ambassador Abdullahi Bakoji Adamu has commended the Governor of Bauchi State Bala Muhammad Kauran Daular Usmaniyya for his timely intervention in initiating a truce between Cattle rearers and farmers.

Ambassador Bakoji in a letter to the Governor says
“We have received credible reports of the recent incident in Bauchi State that sadly claimed the lives of two individuals. In response to this tragedy, we wish to commend His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, for his swift, fair, and courageous intervention”.

“The Governor’s decision to uphold justice by ensuring both Fulani pastoralists and farmers were given their rightful due is a remarkable example of inclusive governance and respect for human rights. Such a balanced approach is key to fostering peace, justice, and sustainable coexistence in our society”.

This action reminds us of a similar effort witnessed in Kano State under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who equally demonstrated fairness and justice by giving everyone their rights — regardless of ethnic or occupational background.

We call on all state leaders across Nigeria to emulate this leadership style, which places justice, peace, and humanity above bias or pressure. Only through such unbiased actions can we achieve lasting peace and development in our communities.

We salute His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi State, and equally acknowledge the efforts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano for standing as models of fairness in modern governance.
