House Committee Visits Kano Police for Assessment

The Kano State Police Command welcomed Members of the House Committee on Police Affairs, led by Chairman Hon. Makki Abubakar Yalleman, on an assessment visit to the Command on December 2, 2024.

During the visit, Hon. Yalleman stated that the committee’s objective was to assess the operational readiness of the Command, identify areas of need, and explore ways to partner with the Police to maintain law and order in Kano State.

The Chairman commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD., NPM for his proactive approach to addressing security challenges nationwide.

He further appreciated the Kano State Government for donating vehicles to the Command.

In his response, the Commissioner of Police welcomed the committee and acknowledged the National Assembly’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force.

He also assured the committee that the Command would remain committed to ensuring peace and security in the state.

The visit demonstrates the collaborative efforts between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Assembly to strengthen security and promote community policing in Kano State.
