The completion of rehabilitation and renovation work for three most dilapidated primary schools selected in Katsina local government area has been appreciated.
The Special Adviser Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana made this known on Monday when he inspected the work at Hamza Maigoro, Iro Isansi Malali and Kaura Rafa Primary Schools in Katsina Metropolis.
At Hamza Maigoro Primary School Kofar Yandaka, 5 blocks of 2 classrooms each have completely been rehabilitated, and 6 blocks of 2 classrooms each at Iro Isansi Malali Primary School, while One block of two classrooms was amicably rehabilitated at Kaura Rafa Primary School Modoji.
At all the three Primary Schools so far inspected by the Special Adviser, each class was equipped with UBEC standard three seater furniture for Pupils convenience, rubber ceiling, notice board and flash board which provided condusive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
It would be recalled that the State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda had recently placed a state of emergency on ten selected most dilapidated primary schools in each of the 34 LGAs of the state and established a Committee for that purpose.
Commenting on the development, Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana who doubles as the Chairman of the Committee for the Rehabilitation/Renovation of the Most Dilapidated Primary Schools appreciated the efforts, but observed the problem of Finishing on the side of the Contractor handling the work.
Among those that accompanied the Special Adviser include the Secretary of the Committee, Directors of Works and Inspection of the Ministry.
