In a renewed effort to promote moral discipline and curb social vices, the Hisbah Board in Katsina Local Government Area has graduated 88 new officers, signaling a major boost to moral enforcement activities across the area.
The ceremony, held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the main hall of KCK Katsina, witnessed the successful graduation of 30 officers trained in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and 58 others who completed the fifth edition of the Daurah programme based on the renowned Islamic text “Akhdari.”
Supervised by the Deputy Commander of the Hisbah Board in Katsina, Malam Shamsu Kabir, the event drew the presence of several Islamic scholars, government officials, and security representatives.
Among the dignitaries were Sheikh Yakubu Musa Hassan Katsina (Sautus Sunnah), Katsina State Hisbah Commander Sheikh Dr. Aminu Usman Abu Ammar, Deputy Commander for Special Duties Dr. Ibrahim Iyal Gafai, Hon. Ali Abu Albaba, Sheikh Sulaiman Rahama, DPO SP. Aliyu Kangiwa, and the Commandant of Kano State Hisbah Board, Bichi Division.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Aminu Usman Abu Ammar commended the new officers for their dedication, urging them to uphold integrity and Islamic values in discharging their duties.
The 88 new Hisbah officers will be deployed across various units to strengthen community engagement and intensify campaigns promoting modesty, morality, and peaceful coexistence within Katsina metropolis.
