Halilu Buzu Declared Wanted as Military Takes Down 227, Arrests 529

The Nigerian Armed Forces have declared notorious terrorist leader Halilu Buzu wanted.

Known for his brutal reign as a cattle rustler, illegal gold miner, and arms supplier, Buzu is responsible for the massacre of 19 villagers in Farar Kasa last week.

During a routine media briefing on Thursday in Abuja, Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, revealed that troops are relentlessly pursuing Buzu, who is believed to be hiding in the dense Subbubu Forest and Shinkafi LGA of Zamfara State.

In the past week alone, the military’s intensified operations have resulted in the killing of 227 terrorists and the arrest of 529 suspects.

Authorities are now urging the public to aid in the capture of Buzu, to bring him to justice for his heinous crimes.
