Special Assistant on Student Matters to Katsina State Governor, Muhammad Nuhu Nagaske, recently hosted an Iftar gathering that brought together student union leaders, government officials, and stakeholders.
The event, held in the spirit of the holy month, became more than just breaking of the fast—it transformed into a platform for reflection, unity, and national commitment.
Thirty selected student leaders from various institutions across Katsina State received 10 kilogrammes of rice each as Ramadan palliatives.
The gesture, according to Nuhu Nagaske aimed to support students during the fasting period and recognize their roles as student representatives.
Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, joined the gathering alongside the Executive Secretary of Katsina State Scholarship Board, the Chairman of NANS Stakeholders Forum Katsina Axis, and representatives from NAKATSS and NANS Zone A.
Members of the SUG Presidential Forum and other government stakeholders also attended.
“This gathering reminded us that unity among students, leaders, and stakeholders remains essential for building a stronger and more progressive society,” Nagaske said.
He explained that the event created a valuable opportunity for young leaders and stakeholders to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and renew commitment to peace and progress in Katsina State and Nigeria.
Beyond the meal, participants offered prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity, including special prayers for Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda’s continued wisdom and good health in leading the state.
Nagaske stressed that the evening demonstrated the power of people coming together with sincerity and shared purpose.
