Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, today made a landmark visit to the AUDA-NEPAD headquarters in Abuja, meeting with the National Coordinator, Hon. Abdullahi Jabiru Tsauri, his former Chief of Staff.
Governor Radda, on his first visit to AUDA-NEPAD, commended the organization for its impactful projects, including a solar energy initiative targeting one million homes, a small-holder farmers support program, and a goat rearing empowerment scheme set to benefit Katsina State.
“This visit is not just to ensure the new NEPAD Boss’s successful transition but also to strengthen cooperation for the development of Katsina and beyond,” Governor Radda stated, urging institutional support for Hon. Tsauri’s leadership.
Hon. Tsauri expressed gratitude for the Governor’s pivotal role in his appointment, describing the visit as a “homecoming.” He revealed plans for Katsina to host the groundbreaking ceremony for the ambitious solar project and assured the state’s inclusion in NEPAD’s key initiatives.
The visit, marked as historic by AUDA-NEPAD staff, reaffirms Governor Radda’s commitment to fostering partnerships for Katsina’s progress.
Accompanying the Governor were key state officials, including Chief of Staff Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir and SSA on SDGs Hon. Maryam Sodangi.
