Set to Commission Scholarship Board Projects
The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, will on Wednesday, 24th December 2025, flag off the disbursement of the 2024/2025 bursary allowances to students of Katsina State origin.
The ceremony will take place at the Katsina State Scholarship Board Complex, Kofar Sauri, Katsina, at 10:00am prompt, where the Governor is also expected to commission key projects executed by the Scholarship Board.
The event will feature the Katsina State Government Award of Academic Excellence, instituted to recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
In line with the administration’s inclusive education policy, special scholarship awards will be presented to students with disabilities and special educational needs, reaffirming the commitment to equal access to education.
As part of measures to support student welfare and promote dignity in schools, sanitary kits will also be distributed to female students.
The programme will witness the commissioning of the new Office of the Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Scholarship Board, alongside Phase I of the renovation and upgrade of the Scholarship Board Complex, aimed at improving service delivery and institutional efficiency.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Scholarship Board, Dr. Aminu Salisu Tsauri, PhD, said the initiative reflects Governor Radda’s commitment to strengthening scholarship administration through transparency, efficiency, and timely support to students.
He added that the upgraded facilities will enhance operational capacity and create a more conducive environment for students and stakeholders, noting that education remains central to the administration’s development agenda.
