The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of persons with disabilities across the state.

Through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Disabled, the Governor recently sponsored a series of life-changing medical interventions for five persons with disabilities. These interventions, carried out in reputable hospitals, included complex surgeries fully funded by the Katsina State Government under the directive of Governor Radda.

Among the beneficiaries is Malama Fiddausi Yahaya, who received ₦2,000,000 from the Senior Special Assistant on Disabled, Lt. Hudu Usman (Rtd), to cover the cost of her surgical treatment. Overwhelmed with emotion, she expressed deep gratitude, saying, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency for saving my life.”

The initiative is one of several programs spearheaded by Governor Radda to promote inclusion and extend government support to vulnerable groups. The Office of the Senior Special Assistant on Disabled continues to serve as a vital link between the government and persons with disabilities, ensuring that their concerns are addressed with dignity and urgency.
