Governor Radda Lauded as NSCDC Commissions Radda Division

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, marked a significant milestone with the commissioning of an ultra-modern divisional office and a Toyota Hilux operational vehicle in Radda town, Charanchi Local Government Area.

Presiding over the event, State Commandant Jamilu Abdu Indabawa, represented by Head of Operations DCC Nuhu Dalha, praised Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda for his unwavering support in advancing security initiatives in the state. The establishment of the Radda Division is part of the NSCDC’s strategy to combat rising insecurity, with five out of ten planned divisions already operational.

The newly commissioned office, equipped with advanced facilities, aims to enhance community safety and provide robust security coverage. Hon. Ibrahim Sani Koda, Chairman of Charanchi LGA, lauded the efforts of the NSCDC and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to Governor Radda’s mission of tackling insecurity across the state.

“This divisional office signifies hope for Charanchi and beyond,” Hon. Koda stated, urging residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely intelligence to curb criminal activities.

Commandant Indabawa thanked NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi for his support in approving the establishment of new divisions, ensuring the Corps is well-equipped to address security challenges. He also emphasized collaboration with other security agencies, community watch groups, and local vigilantes to strengthen community policing.

The event witnessed colorful celebrations, with dignitaries including retired CP Rabiu Ladodo, traditional leaders, and representatives of key security agencies. Keys to the new divisional office and vehicle were handed over to DSC Aminu Isah Bindawa, marking the start of full operations.

Commandant Indabawa reiterated the NSCDC’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property, assuring the public of continuous efforts to tackle vandalism, economic sabotage, and other criminal activities.

The NSCDC called on residents to maintain cooperation and provide actionable intelligence to support security efforts in Katsina State.
