Honour was given where it was due as Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday recognised Bashir Ya’u, Media Assistant at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, with a prestigious Letter of Appreciation and Award of Excellence for his outstanding service in promoting the policies and programmes of the administration.
Speaking after receiving the award, Bashir Ya’u expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and described the recognition as both a personal milestone and a historic honour that would further inspire his commitment to serving the people of Katsina State.
“I am deeply honoured to have been acknowledged by my Principal, His Excellency Malam Dikko Umaru Radda. This recognition motivates me to remain steadfast and dedicated in my service to the good people of Katsina State,” Ya’u said.
He extended special appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa, for her constant encouragement and guidance. He also thanked the Director-General Media, Malam Maiwada Danmalam, for his mentorship and support; the Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibrahim Muhammad Kaula, for his invaluable guidance; and Hon. Isah Mikidad A.D. Saude, now Chairman of Katsina Local Government, for bringing him into the Governor’s media team.
Bashir Ya’u noted that the award was not for him alone but a shared achievement with all those who have supported him in his professional journey.
“This honour strengthens my resolve to serve with diligence, loyalty, and dedication,” he added.
