Katsina State Governor and Chairman of the Northwest Governors’ Forum, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has greeted the Governor of Niger State, Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, on the occasion of his 52nd birthday.
Governor Radda described Governor Bago as “a visionary reformer and courageous leader whose inspiring journey from banking and legislative service to transformative executive leadership continues to inspire a new generation of Nigerians.”
He noted that Governor Bago has consistently demonstrated courage, focus, and commitment in the service of Niger State and the nation.
“Governor Bago’s background as a banker, federal lawmaker, and grassroots politician has shaped his practical, development-focused leadership and strengthened his commitment to accountability and citizens’ welfare,” Governor Radda stated.
He lauded Governor Bago’s “New Niger Agenda,” describing him as the “Farmer Governor” whose tech-driven reforms in agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and industrialisation are advancing Niger State.
Governor Radda also noted that Governor Bago adopted the title “Farmer Governor” to highlight his commitment to agricultural transformation, food security, and engagement with farmers across Niger State.
“I commend Governor Bago for turning vision into action through investments in agriculture, infrastructure, education, and youth programmes, reflecting practical and results-driven leadership,” he added.
On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, Governor Radda congratulated Governor Mohammed Umar Bago on his 52nd birthday and prayed for his continued good health, wisdom, and strength in service to Niger State and the nation.
