It was a gathering of Nigeria’s political and business elite on Friday as Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, joined other top dignitaries to attend the wedding fatiha of Farouk Sa’idu Alkali, son of the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Senator Saidu Ahmad Alkali, and his bride, Salaha Abdulaziz Yola.

The solemn yet vibrant ceremony was held at the historic Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna, drawing a galaxy of high-ranking guests from across the nation in a show of solidarity and celebration.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, led the high-powered delegation, which included the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani; Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya; and former Zamfara Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.

Also in attendance were former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika; Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo; Senator Kawu Sumaila; Members of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu (General) and Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa; AUDA-NEPAD National Coordinator, Alhaji Jabiru Tsauri; business magnate Alhaji Dahiru Mangal; and many others.

Governor Radda, who arrived at the venue to a warm reception, exchanged pleasantries with fellow dignitaries and extended heartfelt congratulations to the Alkali and Yola families. The Katsina State helmsman also joined in the special prayers offered by Islamic scholars for the couple, invoking Allah’s blessings, peace, and unwavering guidance for their marital journey.

Guests were treated to a modest post-fatiha reception that maintained the event’s spiritual tone while allowing space for networking and well-wishes.
